Anyone looking for hearty Franconian cuisine is wrong here. Tarte flambée and pizza are available. Bring plenty of time. Coming on foot from the old town it goes down a steep mountain, back up again steeply, quite strenuous. Location is nice.

Great idea, implemented in a funny way. Chic location, especially due to the proximity of the Tauber.

I love this place. Here you can linger and relax from everyday life.

It is very pleasant, very good food, very loving staff. I recommend everyone who is at home in Rothenburg as well as a visitor to the Tauber and enjoy nature.

You can enjoy the freedom, the seclusion and the food right on the Tauber. An experience for young and old alike. What are the children like there? There is a large sandpit, a swing and of course the deaf ones as calm and relatively shallow water. The selection of drinks is quite extensive and the food is always fresh. We are completely satisfied every time! Thanks to the whole team and see you soon;)

Nice location on the water. Some children even took a bath. Children's sandpit available. Large beer garden with snack. Many shady spots.

Lovely Biergarten in a tranquil setting. However, the man selling Flammkuchen was needlessly rude. My girlfriend asked him (in German) if it was possible to have one with cheese and olives and he curtly replied, "too much work", with no sense of humor in his voice. She then ordered one on the menu and went to pay and was told "not yet". Then he finished what he was doing and said "ok now". To feel that you are inconveniencing the business you are giving your money to is very frustrating and instantly can ruin a whole experience. Very unnecessary and childish behavior from a grown man. Plus the Flammkuchen itself tasted like cardboard sprinkled with cheese.

Clear thing. Disinfection and address to protect everyone at the entrance. I think that's great. Then the spacious, spacious, beautiful beer garden with top staff. Just run relaxed through the water with wheat beer. MEEGA. YOU ARE top.

Extraordinary beer garden. Everyone seems welcome. Delicious, simple food. Everything is a bit chaotic, but uncomplicated and personable.

Most staff nice. Exception the employee who made and sold the flammkuchen.

Not really an insider hint, I guess, but please go there if you are looking for a relaxed space and blend in with locals. Great for kids (river banks etc), delicious cake, and reasonably priced. The inly thing what was missing is some chill out beats, but that would have been to good to be true.

The walk down from Rothenburg is steep but more than worth it once you arrive at this spot. Back to the center via the bridge along the water. Great trip. Have a nice lunch.

Not far from Detwang is the restaurant "Unter den Linden" (former Bronnenmühle). The restaurant has a very large beer garden (some with chairs, some with beer benches) and is located directly on the Tauber. The ideal water playground for children (under the supervision of their parents) in summer. The food and drinks are available at the bar (no service at the tables). In summer there is often a large crowd, which leads to long waiting times at the delivery. The food and drinks are good, but not necessarily cheap. And there are no umbrellas on the tables. Still: a very nice beer garden!

Perfect place to have Butter bread with herbs, let kids play in water while enjoying the fresh valley during a hit summer day. Bikers visit from all around.

What a nice place for a beer garden. Located directly on the Tauber. Rarely have I eaten such delicious sausages, combined with wonderful bread and good sauerkraut. A place that you would like to come back to.

Great beer garden in a natural setting on a beautiful stream below Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The beer garden offers space for the whole family. Children can let off steam there. Dogs can cool off in the stream. The best conditions to be able to enjoy your beer. Great choice of drinks and food. A wonderful place to take a break.

Great little place to have a beer! Sitting at the table next to the river, we never wanted to go back into town. Absolutely the prettiest Biergarten in the world

Lovely little place, hidden away a bit… with lovely gardens & stream that kids love to play in. Staff are also very friendly. Walkable from the town, but it's a rather steep climb back up again, especially when you're rushing to beat an incoming storm! ;-)
